GLUTEN FREE!!!

For our last weekend here Ki and I bought GLUTEN FREE pizza because Ki can't have wheat and she hasn't had pizza for oh, a YEAR! We were SO excited! I was SO happy that she could finally just indulge in it. There's nothing like Pizza. There is a shop near our house that makes all their pizzas with a gluten free crust for a RIDICULOUS amount more, BUT there is nothing like this in Hawaii so we had to do it! I was SO happy for Ki! Thank you Garlic Jims! We had ice cream, movies, pizza, and each other. Gotta love girls night :D

Wallace FALLS

Today was my last day off of work before I got back home, and I was able to completely enjoy my day :) I went with Jessie and some of her friends on a nice LONG hike today up to some beautiful waterfalls. We got to the top of the water fall I spent some time dipping my toes in the icy cold water and taking photos. It was GORGEOUS! The hike that Jessie told me was going to be a "nature walk" was actually over 5 miles round trip, but I'm glad I went. It was so pretty. We had a bbq tonight and had some amazing burgers and shrimp. We met alot of people tonight that I'm sad we have to leave because I think we could have been great friends :) I loved it. I'm sad to say goodbye to Seattle.

Twilight for REAL!

So the other day, we decided to do what we have wanted to do since we came to Seattle...took the ferry! We went over to Port Townsend, which is near Port Angelos which is near Forks! Since I've been here I've kind of been obsessed with Twilight! I read the books last summer, but something about being in Seattle just makes me love it even more! AND Kiley is always talking about them because she is reading them right now. But it was AWESOME! Well, we didn't get to do much because as we got to Port Townsend all the shops were closed (they close at 5:30-we got there at 5:45) but we ate at a lil restaurant which was super cute. The food was no good, and we waited for an hour for it, BUT we saw the ladies from the red hat club! So it wasn't a complete lost. :D We went to McDonalds after. The town is right on the water and it was so pretty. The ferry ride over was pretty too. It was a nice little day trip. Now I'm trying to think of what else I wanted to do before I leave....6 days.....

Lana And ME

Last weekend I had a life saver come and rescue me from going crazy with all the stuff going on. Alana came for a visit this last weekend, and it made me SO happy! She completely took care of me. We had a BLAST! Alana had never been to Seattle so we roamed around the city in her lil car (minus air conditioning). It was SO fun. We went downtown and looked around Pike Street and went to cute lil boutiques. It was such a blessing to have her come. We went to the movies and saw 500 Days of Summer and looked in LOTS of shops (because that is what we DO!). ANyways, it was SO good to see her. And I just think she is wonderful! So THANKFUL FOR GOOD FRIENDS!!!!

Darn It!

Well, it looks like my time in Seattle has come to a close. We had planned to stay until September, but because of some unfortunate events, we must all go our separate ways. It's hard because today I finally enjoyed work! I knew how to do everything! Organize tables, transfer phone calls, answer questions about "corkage fees" and how we cook our prime rib! But, because of some events, my roommates have already gotten tickets for the end of this month so I must get my ticket also. I don't really know how to put my two weeks in when this IS my second week, but it is something I have to do. We won't be having a place to stay, and I can't afford to find a place on my own. I'm flying to Idaho on the 30th of July and I don't go back to school until the middle of September. It is SO difficult to find a job, ESPECIALLY in August, but I was wondering if I could get some help and if ANYONE has ANY lead or IDEAS of what I could do for the month of August I would appreciate it immensely. I guess this is when I really need family help! Does anyone have a position open or know of anything or know of anyone they could refer me to? It's so difficult because it is only for the month of August. But I really need to find something so I can get my ticket back to school and such. PeACE, KIDDs, & ALLIgAToRS!

So things are still about the same here, now I'm working full time which is SO nice! Somethin to DO! And I have a lil tip money I get every day which is nice too! Well, last night Ki and I went to a place called Kidd Valley, and it's a small hamburger joint. We got hamburgers, a chocolate peanut butter shake, and sweet potato fries. SO GOOD! We try to eat healthy, but it was fun to just go all out! ;)
Jordan's parents have been up here for a few days working on the house and starting work on a new house they are starting to redo in the area also. Today we all went to play tennis, which was HILARIOUS (All three of us girls got SCHOOLED). Jordan's dad took us to a lil joint for lunch where they serve CAtfish, Alligator, ribs, pulled-pork sandwiches, hushpuppies, etc. (Ironic to find a place like this in SEattle, Washington-as far away from Florida-where alligators are found-as you can get) It was different also because well, it's not something you usually find, and especially here where everything is so HEALTHY!
After lunch, we happened across a small rally going on at the corner, where people were trying to get cars to honk for PEACE! They want us out of Afghanistan. People are VERY liberal here....

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!
Well, today has been a nice day, and for the first time ever, I realize how lucky we are to live in this free country. After staying in China for a few weeks and seeing how restricted they are, I have a much greater appreciation for USA. It was a nice day. Ki and I watched the fireworks from a park by Lake Union. It was awesome! This last week I haven't worked much, but I start up full time starting Monday. The other day we decided to go to the Arboretum, which is just a huge forest/park. And after walking around, we got lost and could find our way out! We got our fill of being out with nature. Kiley has been working in Kirkland and one day before work we walked into a little bakery and found that all the cupcakes were gluten free! We were so excited because Kiley can't have wheat and she hardly ever finds treats that are YUMMY that she can eat. So we both got gluten free cupcakes, and that made our day :). Jordan comes back in a few days from her cruise through the Mediterranean. I am excited to see her pictures and hear her stories. Ki and I are running out of things to talk about. Ha. Sometimes we start our conversation with, "So what do I NOT know about you...?"
