FaMiLy!

Well, I started my job at Stanford's. It doesn't seem that difficult. I love that it is called Stanford's :) I go to work thinkin' of Grandpa. It's nice to not have to stress about finding a job anymore. I actually come home and have things to tell Ki things she doesn't already know! I'm glad I get to have this chance to live here in SEattle. I think it's wonderful. I sure wish I was able to go home for this reunion coming up tho. It seems I keep being in the wrong place at the wrong time and am missing out on all the family get togethers! Well, I think that next summer everyone should just plan to come to Hawaii where we can all enjoy the wonderful sun and everyone can come see ME! (I think it's a GREAT idea!)
Well, in memory of everyone, here are a few photos from when I was home this last time...

Alki Beach...

So today was another GREAT day! Kiley had a job interview, and she got the job! So now we are both very much relieved and BOTH start work tomorrow! We are so excited to have something PRODUCTIVE to do! She will be selling Mika Rose dresses(mikarose.com) at Costco. The company is out of Provo and they sell modest dresses! That should be fun for her. Today after her interview we decided to celebrate and go to Alki Beach which is downtown area. It was SO cold, NOTHING like the beaches we are used to. But it was really neat. We took some photos!

Row, row, row, your boat...

Well, good news, I got a job! I'm not the hostess for Stanford's restaurant, which will be nice. I'm waiting for a call, but I think I start SOON! Such a relief! Also, I am doing a graphic design project for a guy who is from Hawaii but living in Seattle. He is starting a company that publishes books on ukulele lessons. So I am doing the ads for newspapers and magazines, and designing the cds covers! This is my first project as a Graphic Designer and I'm so excited! It's mostly for my own experience and portfolio, but it's nice that I can get a little cash from it too!
The other day, the three of us girls decided to go for a cruise on Green lake in a canoe. It's pretty cheap to rent for an hour, and that is about as long as three girls can paddle anyways (actually, it's more like 15 min). We found TONS of lilies and a lil island. We had so much fun paddling in that canoe. We almost tipped it a FEW times, and we laughed til our sides hurt, and got some great pictures. It was so fun!

Singing Monks!

Well I have still been applying for jobs like crazy! Praying this week gets better. Jordan's dad came up the other day and he took us to a Mariners baseball game where he made us get garlic fries. They are fries with TONS of garlic and seasonings on them. They were SO good, but our breath smelled SO bad! Today we went to St. Mark's Cathedral because the monks sing hymns every Sunday night. People come and just fill up the place. People lay down with quilts, sit on the floor, in the pews. It was jam packed. It was SO relaxing to hear them and it was really nice. I think we are going to go every Sunday if we can. It was really nice. :)

Seattle!

Well, now I'm in Seattle for the summer with my two besties at school Jordan and Kiley. We are living in a house that Jordan's dad is redoing and so we are just helping out with a few things and he lets us stay here. It's in the cutest little neighborhood. I've never been to Seattle, and I'm in love with it now! It is SO green and trees are everywhere. There are little boutiques and everything is locally owned. I haven't seen a Wal Mart since we've been here, and we have explored this city alot! People here are very active, and I love the environment. I love the lakes and parks everywhere. I think I'm going to love it here. We've had nice sunny days, and overcast days, and I love them both. Since the day we got here I have been applying for jobs and have had a few interviews. Nothing certain yet, but hopefully something will come up soon. we are surprised that the three of us can be together 24/7 (literally) and not go crazy yet. Who knows how much longer that will last. Hahahaha. We've been having fun just being in eachothers company and not having ANY money has been interesting too. Mom sent us up with a ton of food so that has helped a TON. After going around applying everywhere, we have gone to a rose garden since being here and spent time at the parks. We've kept ourselves busy. This is going to be an adventurous summer and now all I need a JOB! Any suggestions? ;)

Yellowstone!

So while I was home for a few weeks after Asia, we went to Yellowstone for Zack's birthday (June 2). We had a blast. Mom and Dad hadn't been there since the big fire. We saw Old Faithful and walked around. It was pretty cold, but it was SO pretty. It was fun! We stopped in Jackson and ate at Billy's Burgers and I showed everyone where I had worked last summer (Bar T5). It was a good day. Here are some pics from it..
