Workin' Construction

So guys, I did it. FINALLY got a job. And it's OSUM. I'm going to be working at the Hawaii Training Center....for Construction! People come to get certified for using all those huge machines, so the actual location is 1 mile off of the highway, and into the mountains....right next to the military training center! There's one building and in the back, just tons of huge tractors! I'll be a secretary, answering phone calls, filing, and helping with any computer programs that they have. I may even be able use this job as an internship which would give me 3 extra school credits! YES! It's a huge blessing for us. It's just til 5 o'clock every day, and never on Saturdays. We have been so lucky! J also just found out he had a check left over from his job last summer. AWESOME! God works in MIRACULOUS ways!

Weird.

Today I found this quote, and now it seems like everything about my DEEP love for my WONDERFUL husband makes sense! :)

Today is wonderful

Today I had a wonderful interview for a job that I'm pretty sure I got.
Today I made my husband breakfast in bed.
Today my professor decided NOT to have that pop quiz!
Today I enjoyed a perfect lunch with Jaliz (subway & a lunchable)
Today I came home to a clean lil home and laundry done!
Today I went shopping with a wonderful friend and found MANY wonderful great deals!
Today I got too many food items for my tiny fridge, but I am still happy.
Today I thought about what it means to love, and to forgive.
Today I read an amazing talk by a wonderful prophet.
Today I came home to my loving husband, and am enjoying a quiet evening in.
Today is a wonderful day :)

So...there has been so many things going on..I'm not sure where to start..
So let's rewind to a few weeks ago-J's birthday...
We ended up leaving Wellington and made our way up to Hamilton where the temple is! We stopped in a place called Rorirua and saw our friends Summer, Daniel, and baby Jai. We got to see the Christmas lights at the temple, and I got to see alot of the north island as we drove! It was an adventure also...we almost ended up sleeping in the car and my body freaked out with hay fever worse than ever before, but it all worked out! On New Years Eve we drove up to Auckland and spent New Years Eve at some relatives house with some Chinese and the Bollywood version of Pride & Prejudice...very different way of celebrating New Years for me! On New Years we went to the Auckland Zoo, where I saw my very first real live Kiwi bird, and Kangaroo! It was super fun. J and I chaperoned a ball for the ENTIRE SINGLE ADULTS of the NORTH island for their church conference. I'm almost sure most everyone there was older than me...so I felt silly having a name tag that said "Chaperone". We ran into alot of J's old school mates...that how I knew everyone was old ;) We spent the last few days there shopping, watching Avatar (filmed in NZ), meeting Joelita's boyfriend Sipaia, and meeting J's uncle Tuna who was the number one New Zealand boxer back in the day. It was alot of fun to spend time with all his aunties and uncles and lil kiddos. We did alot of shopping and it was a nice relaxing break.
We left on the 4th and flew to Fiji where we spent a day until our flight on the 5th. We tried finding a nicer hotel this time...one without bugs at least...and we did! Yet it was still kinda yucky. We could have done alot of fun things because we got there at 10 AM and didn't leave until the next morning, but J's tummy was sick again...we were sick alot in NZ, and so we chilled and watched movies on the laptop. We were SO glad to be getting back to our OWN bed, OWN TINY home! On our flight back to Hawaii, we got completely checked...physically and checked and CHECKED! Security was VERY tight, because of the things that happened while we were gone! On our plane there was hardly anyone, because it is a new flight..so we were able to each take a row and sleep and relax. When we got back we were SO SO happy!
School started 2 days after we got back, and it's just been busy ever since! J has started as a Teachers assistant for ALL the classes in our Instructional Design & Development major and he has been very busy with meetings with professors and helping classes since many of the teachers actually live in other places in the world, and teach online. I have LOST my job, so I have been looking for one...still no luck.
On Friday it was my birthday! It was a FABULOUS day with LOTS of surprises! I was awakened just after midnight to an awesome gift! J had made me a computerized card with videos of "Happy Birthday"s from lots of people, a happy birthday video from him, and a clue to what my present was.... :) It's still coming in the mail... (hint: needle, thread, cloth). We went to Ted's Bakery for breakfast and I only had one class. J surprised me with a lil party at our friend's house and then we all went out for Japanese food. It was SO yum!

Now we are enjoying our 3 day weekend! Gotta love holidays!
