SWAGGER WAGON

So....this is pretty much the best commercial EVER.
And I have decided that someday J and I will be just like these parents.

Manic Monday.

Sometimes....you just need to have some cake.
Sometimes....you just have to get lost in crafts.
Sometimes the husband eats all the cake.
Sometimes I just need to attack the hubs with besos.

So I should be doing a billion other things right now.....but right now....I'm can't help but just enjoy the hubs and some chocolate. I'll try again tomorrow. :)

Gecko. Nurse. Zebra Rug.

Two Random Pics of the Day. I am sick of this guy ^ that lives in our place.

So I just want to throw it out here.....so J can't change his mind......J is going to work towards a nursing degree. No more changing!! I guess he is a Johnson then, because three others are nurses or on their way to becoming one. (sigh). Life is crazy. Full of changes. Who knows what will happen next week?? Life is good though. We are happy. Can't wait for this dang term to end so I can have some FREEDOM! J on the other hand is going to just stay in school and be serious from now on. I will help out and cook him food to help his brain work. I know this is a very odd post. But I am a bit frazzled. I really do love my husband and all he does.
Yesterday he made me breakfast in bed....because I am a POTENTIAL mother... :). We thought of how lucky we are to have such wonderful mothers. Church was fabulous with some very strong, touching talks. Oh the Lord works in mysterious ways!
I learned the wonderful tricks a crockpot does. I plan on using it DAILY. It's so awesome to not have to worry about dinner! I'm semi-domestic all around these days with my homemade granola bars and crafty throw pillows.....minus our zebra rug and Rock Star bathroom.
We are enjoying our apartment.....everyone hears us since we are on the corner. At church we had alot of people asking us why we were always laughing so loud at our place.... we are just crazy-that's why. Sometimes we lay on our HUGE *I say huge because before this tiny place, we lived in a microscopic box that even Thumbellina would feel claustrophobic in* living room floor and just giggle. We hear people outside passing our "Ding Dong" doormat and I know they wonder what is so funny. We are usually just pulling faces at each other. That's how we roll. Free entertainment.
I don't have much to say. I'm just rambling. I just want to talk. Blah. Tired. chocolate.
I love Jaliz til forever runs out though. And I am blessed. And I am happy. And I don't like geckos.

Life in FaSTFoRWArD! >>>

I feel like I am running around with my head chopped off most of the time. Although my mind is going a bazillion times a second with all that I feel I need to be doing. Spring term is MUCH busier than any semester. I fave come to hate school with a passion.

J and I are taking 8 credits each. I decided to take Marketing for "Fun". BAD idea. J is taking art which is wonderful for him....except he hates sitting down to sketch random objects like our stove. I keep telling myself we just have a month of it left....which scares the heck out of me, and also brings me small relief. After this semester J is going to take a math class in summer....I am going to  forget school exists until September.

We love living in a new place.....except I hate our roommates. I have found poopies all over from our beloved gecko. GRR. Everyone says "Oh! You have a gecko! That's good luck! It keeps bugs away!"
Reality: We STILL have BILLIONS of bugs. And finding poop on my sugar jar is no sort of good luck I want. Much Mahalos.
I have had fun thinking of how to decorate brick walls and how to put in dark blue church carpet into my color scheme. We've loved Ross and Goodwill for all of the things we didn't have for a home....AKA-everything. We still have things to buy. We are stubborn and won't buy a microwave. We had to live without one for a long time in our studio, and when we went to buy them they were so expensive for a crappy one! So we keep hoping we find one for sale at garage sales. Until then, I have been warming our food up the "vintage" way and using our oven. I've also just forced J to eat the remains of every meal so there isn't leftovers. He doesn't complain.
I have found myself "nesting" or "being a  bird". I have LOVED sewing lately. I have bought TONS of fabric, and find myself looking at fabric online more than designer bags...which is a DRAMATIC change. I sewed curtains. Still have more to sew. The curtains they gave us look like and smell like they came from a dumpster. Oh...and they didn't give us curtains for our bedroom or kitchen....which is a little too revealing since we live right next to the parking lot. I haven't minded though because I just have projects and projects to work on! I would much rather make crafts than work on homework.
In the last week or two, J has decided that he wants to look like Clark Kent...or Peter Parker....aka a geek.

He has enjoyed putting his hair into a COMPLETE comb over. He has been wanting to find fake glasses to add to his look. I don't know where this came from but it is hilarious. On Sunday people don't recognize him and his hershey's kiss on his head. It's quite hilarious. So Saturday we decided it was time for a haircut. For both of us. We wanted to go to a nice place (It's pretty risky getting haircuts here in Hawaii--I just don't trust 'em!) but we ended up at good ol' Fantastic Sams. There was a man waiting to take the next client so I begged J to go first. I was hoping a more "stylish" gal would take me as her client. And STYLISH she was. Sheila of Kailua cut my hair. How long has she been doing hair? 46 YEARS. EEEEgads! I was already planning in my head when I could arrange another haircut to fix the one I was about to get! As Sheila snipped away at my hair, she told me about her daily routine of getting up at 5, washing her hair, putting in curlers to dry, catching her bus to work, her daily lunch at Zippys. It was hilarious. I have to admit-she WAS quite stylish for being 67. Well, after it was done. I actually loved it! Thank you Sheila! J and I came out of Winward feeling great and so HOTT! I had to go home and cut a few strands that she didn't see, but it is all good.Photobucket
Things have been busy, but G-R-E-A-T. Yesterday we had Presiding Bishop H. David Burton do a CES fireside from the school. The VERY FIRST from our school. It was AWESOME!
Can't wait for more time to do things I would like to. That DOES come later on in life....right??
Til then....love the hubs. And my hair-Thanks Sheila of Kailua. xoxo
